Anonymous asked: One of my good friends messaged me the other night and told me he was still in love with me from way back in the summer when we had a "thing." I told him straight up that we could never go back to that because I don't feel that way for him anymore. I also told him I love my bf and wouldn't leave my bf for him. I think I let him down as easy as possible, but I don't think he's okay. He's known for being suicidal and not to be selfish but I don't want him to do anything stupid. Any ideas?

Saving someone from suicide is quite the opposite of selfishness. But, I don’t think you should assume he’s going to try anything just because you’re already in a happy and committed relationship. You let him down easy. Just make sure you keep talking to him as friends and make sure he’s doing alright. If he brings anything up about putting his life endanger, tell someone immediately. Until then, you can’t assume.
