Maybe his friends are just more outgoing. He could be a quiet person or he could feel awkward being around you and his friends due to the different social dynamics. Typically, guy time is guy time, and girlfriends make the situation change a little. On the other hand, he might only be into you when he’s drunk if you’ve only done stuff when you’re drunk.
