Anonymous asked: So I'm really attracted to one of my professors and I seriously think he's attracted to me too, I would love for him to make a move but I don't know if he will because he'll probably be teaching me more subjects in the future and he knows this; although he is very open minded. Should I do anything? Like drop subtle hints here and there? ohh and I don't really know if age matters but I'm 20 and he's like 30, also the university doesn't have a policy against teacher-student relationships.
I think that if this is something you want to pursue, you should pursue it yourself. I don’t think that your professor is going to make the move for you. Even if the school isn’t against it, it’s socially frowned upon and not many professors would give it a try. My opinion is that you shouldn’t attempt this because it’s awkward and a little uncomfortable, especially since he’s in a position of authority over you and will continue to be if you guys don’t work out or if something awkward happens. You’re young and in college, try finding a nice boy your own age.
